About: .../cseg/ncl

This dir contains mapping files that may be useful for ncl visualization.
These mapping files are suitable for plotting fields -- critical analysis
of fields ideally would be done on the original model data (on the original 
model grid), not on regridded (mapped) data.  Regridding data introduces 
numerical artifacts that are not in the original data.

While CSEG does collect some mapping files for use with ncl,
currently (2010) CSEG is unable to commit to any level of support
for creating or maintaining these mapping files.
